The Effects of D-aspartic Acid on Testosterone

Many people who are into sports such as body building or weight lifting have cravings to testosterone boosters. This is because these supplements help them to have more strength and muscles. Who would not want a perfect body? Certainly, no one!

Men especially those with low levels of testosterone will really look for the best testosterone booster around the world. If you are one of them, you need to look at the ingredients first. After that, you can now decide which one to buy.

D-Aspartic Acid and Its Use

One of the best testosterone booster is the one with D-Aspartic Acid. D-Aspartic Acid is an endogenous amino acid which is found in the nervous system and endocrine system. It is one of the 20 building blocks of proteins called proteinogenic amino acids. It is also present in the brain tissue in the last stage of embryo development and shortly after birth of mammals. A high concentration of D-Aspartic Acid can also be found in the testes where it plays a role in the sperm production.

D-Aspartic Acid increases the natural production of testosterone by increasing the release of gonadotropin and luteinizing hormone. DAA triggers the release of the GnRH, oxytocin and vasopressin, the luteinizing hormone, and growth hormones from the neuroendocrine axis, and testosterone from the testes. The pituitary gland and the testes have the ability to trap circulating D-Aspartic Acid.

The natural release of GnRH and LH resulting in increased testosterone levels can be observed from puberty only to mid-twenties. Men after 30 will experience lowered testosterone levels which will lead to low sex drive, increased body fats, problems with sleep, decreased recovery ability if you are going to the gym, and decreased ability to build up muscle.

So with D-Aspartic Acid, it is possible to be used as a testosterone booster for infertile men, and by athletes as a temporary booster. Increased testosterone levels will only last for 1 to 2 ½ weeks for healthy men. After that testosterone levels will return to normal. In other words, D-Aspartic Acid if given as supplement will cause your body to produce more testosterone as if you were younger and helps to get rid of the symptoms of low T.
