In yesterday's blog post we really explored what are the various major causes of dark circles around the eyes. We stated that in a youth focused society looking old and tired could work against you.

Furthermore we gave you tips on how to better determine if and why you may have dark circles around your eyes. Today we further examine some relief for dark circle relief around the eyes region.

Dark circles caused by heredity and age are both the result of thinning skin around the eye area. The blood vessels lay just beneath the surface of the skin so if the skin in the eye area is translucent or thin the blood shows through the skin as a bluish hue.

But there is hope. Science has proven that there are treatments that are successful in providing relief from dark circles under the eyes. There are substances called peptides which are very good at rejuvenating the skin around the eye area.

The following is a good article on getting rid of those annoying dark circles around our eyes. It is hard to look your best with a tired and haggard look about you.

Just imagine having to go to a job interview looking like you have low energy and lack enthusiasm. This certainly isn't putting your best face forward.

Appearances can be misleading. Dark circles under the eyes can make us look like we lack energy and enthusiasm for living. In our age-conscious, youth-oriented culture dark circles, which can make you look older can really hold you back.

Do you have dark circles? The best way to determine whether you have dark circles under your eyes is to go to a department store make-up counter. The glaringly bright light at the counter is starkly different from the muted, face-friendly mirror in most of our home bathrooms. store light.

If you find that indeed you do have dark coloring under the eyes, do some research to find out the causes. The causes for dark circles are most likely one of the following: heredity, age, lack of rest, or allergies.

If your dark circles are caused by lack of rest or allergies they may respond to some very simple treatments that will be easy for you to do at home. For lack of rest, of course the most immediate course of action is to up the number of hours rest you get at night. A little extra sleep can have a profound effect on how you look.

For allergies you might try some over the counter remedies which will shrink the nasal passages and accompanying mucus membranes, thereby reducing the puffy distended look around the eye area.

Water has been proven to help dark circles and under-eye puffiness in many sufferers. Increasing your intake of water to 8 or more glasses a day will probably help the appearance of your dark circles.
